(excerpt) New Orleans Saints kicker Wil Lutz was named the NFC special teams player of the week for a second time this season, the league announced Wednesday. The rookie made each of his four field-goal tries and one extra point Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. His 53-yard field goal in the second quarter was his third successful attempt from 50 yards or longer, and his 41-yard field goal in the fourth quarter widened the margin from two to five points with less than 2 minutes left. This honor came two weeks after the league named Lutz as the special teams player of the week following his winning 52-yard field goal against the Carolina Panthers. Just be glad Payton was patient with the kid. After the start of the season, several people around here were ready to go another direction (understandably). He's starting to become really reliable. May be the Saints kicker for the next several years.

This time he actually deserved it. The first time was silly. Good for him though, and hopefully he will be consistent.
