LMAO It's a mugging
1 Attachment(s)
With eight seconds left before the half, the New Orleans Saints had time for one play from the 49ers’ 13-yard line. On the play, every 49ers defensive back held to keep the Saints from scoring a touchdown. With just four seconds left on the clock, the Saints had to settle for a field goal.
The 49ers were called for three defensive holding penalties: One on Jimmie Ward, which was declined, one on Keith Reaser, which was declined, and one on Eric Reid, which was accepted for a 5-yard penalty and enforced at the San Francisco 13-yard line. At the time, the Saints were up, 28-20. It was a better choice for them to kick the field goal and go up two scores, rather than risk going for one final play and coming up with absolutely nothing. So the Saints went up 31-20 after the Wil Lutz 26-yard field goal. Smart move by coach Kelly Chip Kelly had the 49ers hold on purpose to prevent the Saints trying for a TD - SBNation.com |

I've never seen three DB's simultaneously hold like that before on a play.
Textbook Richard Sherman coverage right there ;). |

Re: LMAO It's a mugging
They still got scored on...meh. Cheating to get scored on but by less? It could have been 0 points. I don't see it as smart at all.
