Saints Sign Broncos TE
1 Attachment(s)
The New Orleans Saints made a couple of roster moves on Monday as they claimed veteran tight end John Phillips from the Denver Broncos and waived cornerback Brian Dixon and linebacker Chris McCain, according to media reports.
In eight games with the Broncos this seasom, Phillips caught five total passes for 40 yards and one touchdown. Phillips, who will become the Saints third tight end behind Josh Hill and Coby Fleener, will work to bolster the Saints' tight end position. Both Dixon and McCain both spent time on the 53-man roster and the practice squad for the Saints this season, but could not secure regular roster spots. They will now both look to continue their NFL careers elsewhere. New Orleans Saints claim TE John Phillips, waive two players _____________________________ Coincidence the week we face the Broncos? I think not! |
Re: Saints Sign Broncos TE
Sounds like he's that blocking TE we lost when Hoomanawanui got injured. Plus we play Denver next so, y'know.

Re: Saints Sign Broncos TE
It may have been time for Brian Dixon to go. When I saw him getting chewed out by Sean on Sunday, maybe that was the last straw.
Side note: Speaking of special teams, Lampman has been solid and I'm glad he is back healthy again. |
Re: Saints Sign Broncos TE

It hasn't been the same since Houman went down. We have even more options next year.
