Drew Brees blasts the league office, blames Goodell for falling TV ratings

NFL television ratings have taken a tumble this season, and last month, Roger Goodell admitted that the league isn't sure why that's happening.
Drew Brees thinks he knows the reason.
According to Brees, if Goodell really wants to know why TV ratings are going down, all he has to do is look in the mirror. During an interview with ESPN.com this week, Brees blamed the league's ratings decline on a growing distrust players and fans feel with the league office.
"We feel like [the decline in TV ratings] is a direct result," Brees said of the mistrust.

Brees has been a vocal critic of the league office before. In August, the Saints quarterback said that no one "believes anything" the NFL says anymore. Earlier in 2016, Brees also said that players can't trust any investigation that's done by the league.

RG is doing the owners bidding. For me, the way the games are officiated is the biggest turnoff for me.

The NFL has become a controlling abomination. Like the KGB on steroids. Goodell is a tyrant. At least with commissioners Silver and Mannfred there is some give-and-take and some sensibility.

No star power might just be a reason. No Farve, or Manning some needs to step up. Can't for get Crapernick as well

I believe there are several reasons.

1) Colin Kaepernick and his followers.

2) People cancelling cable TV in record numbers. (not always possible to use an antenna for reception)

3) Hideous throwback uniforms and color rush uniforms that are very hard on the eyes.

4) Over officiating and too much player protection from hard hits.

5) All the stuff Drew Brees said.

Refs dictating the game outcomes with direct contact with the NYC headquarters. It is so obvious the league office is trying to pick winners and loosers

petty tacky flags, blatent no calls, picked up flags... etc
