Can Saints get above .500?
I feel like this years team has a different feel than those other teams. Doesn't mean we are going to win, but we loom like a pretty good team in the making. I honestly feel like we will content for a SB next season. Anwayway...
Only the defending Super Bowl champions stand in the New Orleans Saints' way of reaching a winning record for the first time since "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke was a major hit and supposedly cool. I'm talking 2013 for those of us, myself included, admittedly not cool. The 4-4 Saints can finally hold their heads above water for at least four days if they can topple the Broncos on Sunday in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Sounds like a borderline impossible task given the opponent and given history. Saints capable of bucking Broncos, history to climb above .500 mark | NOLA.com |
Re: Can Saints get above .500?
Um. Yes. In fact I predict a week from today that the Saints are 6-4.

Re: Can Saints get above .500?
not only can they, they will. Their remaining schedule and their 'progress' says they will.

Re: Can Saints get above .500?
If and only if the saints can get at least 150 yards on the ground and dominate time of possession.
This is the best secondary the saints will face and believing Drew can carry this team in this game might be a little to hopeful. OL must dominate in the run game and force the safeties up in the box. Aqib Talib out helps Bradley Roby is stepping up Kayvon Webster is key to watch with a hammie If he goes down the real shuffle will start and Wade will need to pull a wabbit out of his hat. something we all know he is capable of doing Derek Wolfe is out is huge Rookie watch Trevor Siemian scout tapes are out and the honeymoon is over. He is a good QB prospect but he is a rookie and the Broncos can no longer hide it. Devontae Booker is the featured back and putting the ball on the turf is still haunting him Adam Gotsis One of my favs from last year draft is filling in. challenge his read and react skills. Do not run straight at him lol. Will Parks is looking good in rotation Justin Simmons A draft fav. He gotta to be accounted for and respect his blitzing skill set. |
Re: Can Saints get above .500?
The can, but lately it sure seems like as soon as we get there it slips away from us.

Unfortunately the team dug a hole for itself, every week has to be near perfect to keep the run alive. |
Re: Can Saints get above .500?
Denver has a solid D and we need to contain Von Miller. Just don't see Trevor Siemian lighting up the field. And thank goodness we are playing in the Dome. Playing Denver in the sky would limit our chances.

I will be diplomatic with my answer:
YES, NEXT QUESTION! |
Re: Can Saints get above .500?
Probably not. These next two games are crucial. If we win both we are in great shape.

Re: Can Saints get above .500?
At this point I'm thinking we might have another 7-9 season.
