Not so sure we're going to make it to the big dance this season.

Doesn't look good for this year, will need to sweep Tampa and beat Atlanta just to have any chance, Rams, Lions, and Cardinals are all very tough teams. Finishing at a minimum of 8-8 and winning both Tampa games and beating Atlanta could get them a division crown with a ton of help, going 5-1 or 6-0 down the stretch to finish 9-7/10-6 to me right now looks almost impossible.

Interesting that really only the Vikings have the 'tomato can' schedule...

Even if we had won the two banana peel kicking games it would still be rough. Some positives though, D is not that awful, run game is ok.

Now we are seeing how huge special teams can be in determining the outcome of games at this level.

Frustrating.

3 banana peel games

Can we catch Atlanta?

If we are "what iffing" those games then you have to give the San Diego game back. Two fumbles in plus territory in the last 6 minutes just doesn't happen.

Sure. It requires another NFC loss from them in addition to the Saints beating them in Atlanta January 1st.

But essentially the Saints would have to go 6-0 down the stretch. Last week was quite damaging to our playoff chances this season.

Hope is the last thing to go, right?

5/6 or 6/6.

With a healthy team, it can be done. Even without playing "perfect football".

You're having this discussion as if Atlanta was 9-2 and we are 2-9.

The NFC South is a tight division. At the end of today there can be as small as 2 game swing between first and last in the division with 5 to go.

So nothing is decided until it is decided.

And with the Saints hanging 49 on a top 5 defense today doesn't diminish that hope.
