Ok Band Wagon Jumpers, Saints open as big favorite over Lions
The Detroit Lions have enjoyed a magical run that's led them to the top of the NFC North, but the bettors in Las Vegas still see some pitfalls looming on the horizon.
This weekend, the Lions pay a visit to take on the New Orleans Saints, and Detroit isn't a favorite despite their run of winning. Vegas Insider has the Saints as a 4.5 point favorite for Sunday. The line opened at five. The first place Detroit Lions head for a showdown in the Superdome with the New Orleans Saints.  Last season, the Lions went to New Orleans and pounded the Saints, but this New Orleans squad is a bit different than that one. They can pile up the points and evaporate teams in the Superdome. It makes for a very tough environment to play in, regardless of how good the Lions have looked this season. Clearly, the Lions will be facing that uphill battle over the weekend.
