Do I Hear a 2nd for Alexander, How about James?

I find it interesting how the market for different positions varies so much. It seemed just a year or two ago cornerbacks were a precious commodity. Now FA corners have been shuffling without the same demand (tho still spendy) and a deep crop is ready to come in during the next draft. It is quite a buyers market for running backs currently.

There are two premier backs, Alexander and James, that no one is pouncing on for a 2nd draft pick or less Droughns is looking for a new home but there is even less interest in him. Add to that there are 3 top RB's that will go in the top 8 draft spots or higher and be penciled in to be immediate impact players.. A few others like Barber, Fason, or Arrington could slip into the first round too. I don't remember any RB's selected above the low 20's the past coupla years.

The Patriots have been a great team undeniably. I think their greater legacy will be the first dynasty of the true cap era. Teams aren't just mimmicking their ways now. They seem to actually be learning how to manage the cap. Loomis is certainly lacking in player knowledge. There may never be a championship during his tenure but I don't forsee a cap hell like the Titans faced this year. (They did get a few yards from a Super Bowl ring tho).
