Call out Brees when he have more td passes than any qb in the league this year? When did all these interceptions start, it's when brandIn cried like a baby

Everyone on offense was part of the problem.

WOULDNT be 3 interceptions if cooks or cadet caught those easy td passes, situation football different results

I swear the tip balls get me from us. They never hit the ground always
some defender making a circus grab. Just bad Karma so it seems.

Re: Saints at Bucs Gameday Thread

Those three pick had nothing to do with the WRs....all on Brees telegraphing passes. There were 3 plays in was disappointed in Cooks...not laying out for the first pass, not catching that TD, and pulling up on that last play...

Last couple of games at crucial times on 3rd and 1, we are in shot gun formation. ?? It's difficult to beat anyone at this level when you don't run the ball consistently. Payton needs to relinquish play calling duties back to Carmichael for the reminder of the season.

Wasted opportunities, costly turnovers, misuse of timeouts & dropped TD passes (Cadet & Cooks) cost us this game and any possibility of post season play.

Brees has one more year on contract. Let him finish out and blow this team up. SP and his drafts/FA pickups has set back this team to the Ditka years. It will take 10 years to recover.

Haslett was coach after Ditka, went 10 - 6, won the division and the Saints first playoff game. The right coach and GM can turn it around in a year.

I think Sean needs too go as well but if they did that i would be scared to death the would do something just as bad in hire Dennis Allen as head coach

A couple weeks back I stopped going and spending money to watch the game, opting to listen on WWL because it's just too painful to watch. Now I guess I've got to stop listening on WWL and just catch the stats on NFL.com after there's an outcome. It's even too painful to listen to.

I would not be devastated if we lose out and step up in the Draft.

Allen is bad enough as a DC, he's not HC material. He's another fail Payton hired because he's one of the good ole boys. If Payton don't get better D coaches in here I'll be on the fire Payton side very soon. Also cool avatar.

Allen was not why we lost that game. It's simply Brees has been exposed as a QB. He can't beat a pass rush.

Man; guys I love the Saints. But if you expected us to win out and go into the playoffs and do great things; you were only kidding yourself. Nothing about the team has been consistent. Throughout this season (and the past couple of years) we have not been a top caliber team. We've kinda sunk into mediocrity. Coaches and players, to me, seem like there is no emotion in their play.

I know what Drew means to this team and that I really don't understand the amounts of money NFL owners are dealing with. Dead money to me, is like paying the note on a car that you don't even own anymore. Drew's contract, to me, is like buying a 1970 Z28 for $500K when it is only worth $50K. And after I buy it for $500K; I park in under a tin roof shed and go into my mobile home.

This team has far too many areas that should have been addressed 3 years ago, that weren't. IMO, we've got to stop all of these crazy side-door deals.

Nonsense. Brees was on track for a career season just a few weeks back. Now all of a sudden he has forgotten how to scan, read progressions and take off when needed to? We had a patch work O line with no Unger & virtually no run game to fall back on yesterday. Teams have almost ignored the run & drop 8 guys in zone.

Let's look closer.........
Giants...pass rush.......bad game
Denver....pass rush but Miller's not in same tier as others. Ware's on decline. Okay game
Detroit....pass rush.........bad game.

In the games where has played someone who has a major pass rusher, he's not been the same QB. Even go back to Houston last year.

Not so much a tough secondary, his weakness is escaping the pocket when it collapses.

Re: Saints at Bucs Gameday Thread

Payton taking over play calling duties was the bigger problem than Brees. Carmichael had done a great job finally balancing the pass and the run, making us a potent offense. Then SP takes over w his pass happy self and screws it all up.

Whilst I agree that Payton's play calling has been pathetic, he isn't the one forcing Brees to throw into triple coverage.

That pick on the throw to Coleman, there was zero pressure and 4 buccaneers in Coleman's vicinity, yet Brees still acts surprised when our guy doesn't get it.

I hope Cooks has been sufficiently humbled, he should be embarrassed coming out and saying he doesn't get targeted enough and then blowing 2 TD's.

If he'd like to air all his problems via the media first, ship him to Dallas where they do that for fun.

Brees decision making has been poor the last 6 games, he can't help when Cooks drops passes but forcing into triple coverage every week is getting very old.

Vonn Bell was around the football a lot which I liked, he needs to make some ints though.

Why are we still paying cadet, he.is.awful.

Fleener is a complete wuss.

I wouldn't complain if we started over right now.
Get rid of SP and Loomis, see what we can get for Brees, Cooks, Anthony, Fleener etc
