Harbaugh to Rams

Re: Harbaugh to Rams
The Rams or Wolverines can have Harbaugh. We don't need a coach to complain about the refs, us fans got that covered!

Re: Harbaugh to Rams
Hell no! I want someone with class.

L.A. Rams fans are a fickle pickle and with less than 50% of the seats occupied in their first season back, Fisher had to fall on his sword for the team which is tough as he was trying to manage his rookie quarterback... But as the Eagles showed with Carson Wentz, in today's drive-thru instant gratification world, when you take a quarterback that high, he better damn well be ready to play... |

Chucky could be fun. He's had a few years to observe the game from on high. Mebbe he has a few new ideas. |

Re: Harbaugh to Rams
Ugh...not a Harbaugh fan. He whines and ******* and throws fits about everything. Yeah he did ok with the 9ers but has less winning seasons then our current coach (yes I know he didn't coach as long). That team did well but it was a back stabbing bunch of pussies there towards the end. He lost his team. Then his job. No thanks.

Re: Harbaugh to Rams
I'd be very surprised if Chuckie moved away from that cozy MNF booth and back to coaching.
The NFL is a grind 24/7. |

He turned Stanford into a 12 games winner and turned around Michigan in one season Sean has had 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013. 9 seasons Sean has had 5, and if this season is losing that would mean that 50% of the time Sean produces teams with less than winning records. Turned the 49ers into a pure mess? He had 3 of 4 winning seasons and went to a super bowl. Prior to his arrival the 49ers had 8 straight seasons without a winning record. What mess did he create? |

Re: Harbaugh to Rams
Folks can throw a lot of statistics out because there's a lot of'em around to throw out. But take a closer look. Hairball turned around a college team in arguably the weakest league in the Big Five. wow
He then jumps ship to the whiners, inheriting a phenomenal amount of talent on the defensive side of the ball. He wins, wins wins until... oh wait, the players can get out of their contracts and go play for a coach who doesn't fine them for listening to music on the way home from games. Who was the last coach fired for an eight and eight season after three trips deep into the playoffs? Who was the coach before hairball to have that happen? Where does he keep his Super Bowl rings? In an empty box. Yes he "turned" Michigan around, but keep an eye on what happens to them in the next few years. He'll trash that program too. I plan on rooting for the Saints for the rest of my life and I'd much rather see us hold out for a better man than what we'd get with him. I'd also prefer to see us in decent shape after three or four of a coach's tenure rather than what he'd leave in his wake. How about a head coach instead of a head case? |

I mean stats smats. Maybe he did that after they lost? Seems like playing for the Saints you get a golden turkey after you lose. You're right, that's much better. |

2012 11-4-1 won NFCCG. 2013 12-4 made it to the NFCCG 2014 8-8. Wonder how many fan bases would love to have that pure mess playing in their stadium. |
Re: Harbaugh to Rams
Fortunately, on many levels this discussion has become purely academic as even the idea of him going to the Rams was just a plot propagated by his many "enemies". You know other coaches, refs, the Niners fan base, etc...
I will say that as you look at his record, look at what he left behind. The now talentless team has gone 5-11 and 1-12 in the two years following his departure. Cheers to you all, it's fun to have a friendly argument once in a while around here. I don't mind Sean sticking around as I'm also sure he has at least one more year in him. I'd sure like to see many of his BFFs leave. I like to think we could really improve our W-L numbers with the players we have if they could just receive some better coaching from the second and third layer coaches. Have great day all, and a Merry whatever it is you're celebrating this season! |

Re: Harbaugh to Rams
actually I am ok staying the course.
I like what the Saints did this past off season. Draft they didn't focus on one area they drafted help in all areas of the team. Just need time for them to develop and stay the course. A knee jerk reaction isn't what is needed. |
Re: Harbaugh to Rams
There should be a tax, or a fine to pay -- anytime someone in a thread mentions Gruden or Cowher or Tony Dungy as a possible coaching candidate, that person should be forced to donate money to Black & Gold, to keep the servers running. It's just really played out and it's not ever gonna happen, for ANY team.

Re: Harbaugh to Rams
So long as Urban Meyer is recruiting (buying off) coaching for the Buckeyes, Michigan will be to the Ohio State what LSU is to Bama...
Even Jim Harbaugh may not be sexy enough to overcome the Urban effect at OSU... |
Re: Harbaugh to Rams
I would like to keep an open mind and see what happens. I am not opposed to Replacing Payton and Loomis at some point we are going to have to move on. If the right person would step out I would be all in. If looking for a new comer I would consider Scottie Montgomery (East Carolina) also coached with the Pittsburg Steelers or Brent Venables (Clemson) Gruden to me is a possibility otherwise not sure for NFL assistant coaches.

Re: Harbaugh to Rams
Don't know why someone hasn't said the "S" word. but he has it sweet in Alabama and a lot of people don't like him for bolting from LSU and going to Miami. If Pete Carroll can do it for god sakes why can't he do it?
