I think if he stays here next season this type of play will continue earlier next season than it has this season. Like Supertec says he needs to be surrounded with the style of game Denver did for Manning but I highly doubt Payton does this, then of course our D is nowhere near what Denver had either. I'm really thinking we better have plan B with a live arm ready to go.

Might be taking it too far. I haven't seen any noodle-arm passes that were the norm for Peyton in the last season and a half. Technically, Brees arm strength is likely still better than Brady's yet it's smooth sailing for the Pats offense.

This is true but there are more signs of an arm than being a noodle arm. I disagree respectfully about Brees arm likely better than Bradys arm but definatly agree about the Pats O. I thought Brees looked weak at times last season also. I know he threw for a ton just like this season but his zip isn't like it was.

I wonder who is getting the reps? Someone who could see playing time soon? I wonder? Drew is known to play through an injury.

He is 37 and is in great shape. He is not on the decline! He is still pin point accurate down the field and any where else for that matter! He doesn't feel comfortable with our aging O-line regressing later in the year. He throws interceptions when it's all on him to win the game. Oh, and he is human. We forget that little fact. If Brady can play this well then so can Drew if we give him an O-line that can open running lanes and pass protect.

He has always had streaks where he's thrown interceptions and usually we can't blame his interceptions for our losses. The team has drafted poorly and done a bad job with high priced free agents which results in a bad team. That is not Drew's fault. We'll be lucky if he is back here next year. I just hope to God he stays another three years and we give him an offensive line like the Cowboys.....invest the early draft picks and watch the offense explode again.

Did I mention we have a good young defense ranked 24th in the league that will be getting several impact players back from IR? For those of you jumping ship we are no where close to an iceberg.

There have been numerous reports that arm strength doesn't deteriorate noticeably nearly as much as their ability to heal after the weekly grind of getting battered.

I'll bet Marino and Elway can still throw an impressive fastball. it'll just take them a few weeks to recover.

Sitting a healthy Brees is tanking, and I'd hope Goodell would take away draft picks for any team that obviously tanks.

I would love it if Goodall would not be allowed to take away draft picks or have any kind of disciplinarian role at all. I would rather see any rule violations handled by a panel of some kind.

nah we drafted a LT so let Peat play. I am more concerned about LG now.

Peat has proven valuable at LG and/or LT.

I'd definitely want to upgrade both guard spots and acquire a younger RT.

We'd better be looking at building a team that can survive after Brees retires, so we'd better be damn good in the trenches with a solid defense, a solid run game and some dangerous WR/TE/RB's.

Kinda like the Cowboys and Giants are doing.

Its why I wouldn't hate drafting Fournette, although I hope and prefer its a pass rusher in round 1.

This and stamina are closer to the problems that Brees is facing and will continue to increase as a problem for him...

It's time to aggressively find his replacement for the end of next season...
