This Saints’ defensive line featured one of*PFF’s All-Pro second team defensive ends, but that’s it. Nick Fairley was the second-highest-graded player in the unit, but even he comes in at 76.9 :mad:.

Sitting close to the bottom again which is a clear indicator of where our needs are in both players and coaching.
Brees couldn't put up enough points to overcome our swiss-cheese Defense.

Craig Robertson didn't play on the D-line. What am I missing?

Nevermind, the ranking is for the front seven, not the D-line...

Makes me want another NT even more. Allen blitzes 41.3% of the time, all that tells me is we are not getting it up front, period. Blowing up the center of an O line is a must and helps everywhere else from the DE's, lb.'ers and the secondary.

My philosophy parallels Jim Finks' in order of importance...

1st- Defensive Line
2nd - Linbackers
3rd - Secondary

Going to need to spend some money on the front seven this year... I thought Robertson played well but maybe that's because it's been so long I forgot what good LB play looks like.

If by chance we draft Foster I would slide Anthony back to the middle and slide Robertson outside. I would look to upgrade Feeney. Gwachum, Zimmer, Maybry and Kiki are huge question marks. Kiki for sure with those knees. Ony should backup Rankin in my opionion and draft another NT( a run stuffing double team taking kind) to compliment Davison. Or take the backup MLB from Carolina, draft another DE and draft that run stuffing double team taking NT. It's a great draft for D players I wouldn't just want 1. Out of our 6 picks I would take 4 for the D.
