Re: LSU No. 3 for most 2017 NFL Draft talent

You can evaluate players from a box score. Some of the most impressive runs I saw him make were against Bama and he just back to the line of scrimmage. That defense was keyed up for the entire season, waiting for the LSU game. You can't fault him for that, not when his O-Line gets blown off the ball every snap for four quarters. Fournette is a generational talent. I only recall one dropped pass his 3 years at LSU. He spent the summer working on pass blocking. I recall several plays where he saw a defender some free and he improvised to pick him up. Nothing as big as he is should move as fast as he does. They expect him to run a 4.3/40. If he does, he's gone by the 5th pick. To say LF is "average" against good teams is kind of funny to me. Woe to the teams that skip him with their pick. If Fournette and a very good edge rusher are available, I take the edge rusher. If the best edge rusher isn't top notch, I take Fournette. In saying all of that ... give me Barnett 11 :p. |
Re: LSU No. 3 for most 2017 NFL Draft talent
Leonard Fournette isn't even the best running back in this class...
And I'd be pissed if we spent a first or second round pick on a RB... There are some good LSU players, Pocic or Adams, Ethan in the second round would be intriguing... |

I can't see Fournette making it past Jacksonville.

No. 3?
Ironically thats also their yearly SEC ranking.:p |
Re: LSU No. 3 for most 2017 NFL Draft talent
If Guice were available, I'd take him over LF. He fits our offense better. But that's a moot point. I'm hoping for a stud lineman to fall into our lap.

Re: LSU No. 3 for most 2017 NFL Draft talent
I don't usually have faith in the players coming out of LSU. I don't watch them but they scare me like the Alabama players who play well in their dominant college system. I'm not comfortable with them making the transition to the NFL and spending a high draft pick because I'm worried about them being able to contribute early.jmho
Edit: However, this year I like C Ethan Pocic, LB Kendell Beckwith and CB Tre'Davious White. I wouldn't mind seeing these guys in black and gold because they have a high ceiling and lots of potential. |

several of these guys would be upgrades
