Keep Ingram, Hightower and Kuhn, the rest can go. I still believe a hammer back to finish out games would help out more than a scat back would.

Like Blount. Was a TD machine around the GL. Hardly involved in passing.

Payton has been most successful with what some call a satellite back, ie Bush Sproles . Someone like Christian McCafferty would add another dimension to our offense.

I have never been a huge fan of Ingram. He gets the job done but I feel there is always someone behind him that comes in and does better.

We do need a Bush/Sproles type back.

Wish we wouldn't have "expelled" Spiller

Ingram will remain the workhorse. It's the defense we must address and they will again in the draft, again!

I'm hoping we've seen the last of Cadet in a Saints uniform. He has hit his ceiling and it is below average. His reason for sticking on the roster is that he knows the system and wont' f*** things up. That is extremely valuable to Coach Payton. When we did cut him and then lost another RB he came right back and had a slight impact before teams game planned for him. He has no value on kick off or return teams either. Wasted roster spot.

If Ingram is used correctly he can be a threat but he still needs another X-factor to make him play at his best. He's healthy and can run. Prepare for another 1000 yard season. Roll Tide !

Kuhn is a Keeper! I hope he re-signs for one or two more years. He's still got it.

Hightower is a perfect backup on this team. Ride him like the Pony Express. Ride him until he goes down and then bring in a fresh horse and keep riding. We know he loves to run.

I'm still high on Lasco who has produced for a seventh round drat pick, when he's available, and think he's a great addition on special teams and a great gunner for the new Special Teams coach who definitely needs all the help he can get.

I have no faith in any player on our roster fitting the scat back niche that is so crucial to Sean Payton. We are still trying to fill that role with Murphy and Cadet who aren't getting it done unfortunately. We keep investing in late rounds on return specialists and one of them has to pay off eventually. Right?
