That's pretty sweet. He's been a solid defensive mind for a long time. I'm surprised he was out of coaching. Good hire, though. Hopefully it pays dividends.

Which begs the question....

Nolan was the Chargers LB coach in 2015... Melvin Ingram had a career best 10.5 sacks that season. Melvin Ingram's a free agent. Just thinking out loud here.

Open mind an all of that, but Mike Nolan has bounced around a bit the last few years, each time taking a lesser role HC to DC to LB coach, including a stint in Atlanta as DC a couple seasons ago (or did y'all forget about that?) which wasn't anything extraordinary.

Glad we got a quality coach for in my mind our weakest position group. We need talent and coaching to develop that talent!. Big positive.
