I have to say one thing on the behalf of the failclowns - comparing Ryan's post-game interviews with Newton's from last year... there's clearly a classier guy with leadership capabilities on the dirty bird side.

Belichick must have gotten into Quinn's head on that call.........

And Quinn may again have been the longest yard away from beating the Patriots when he decided to have Matt Ryan pass on third-and-1 at his 36 with a 28-12 lead midway through the fourth quarter.

Ryan was sacked by Dont’a Hightower and fumbled the ball away to Alan Branch and opened the door to history to Tom Brady.

The best example ever of the need to play four quarters. ATL played fast and furious for the first two while the Pats played a ball control passing game for all four.

In the first half the Pats kept shooting themselves in the foot. Then ATL wrestled the pistol away from the Pats. Midway through the 3rd you could see that ATL's D was getting winded. Then came Ryan's sack/fumble and ATL's three and punt following Julio's catch. It was time to stick a fork in the Dirty Birds, they were done.

Considering the score, the time of possession speaks volumes.

Damn, I loved that game. I had hoped that the Pats would wipe the field with them and win in a lopsided victory. This was so much better.

The Falcon's, like the phoenix had risen from the ashes only to go down in flames once again.

Honestly regardless of how that game looked.

The Patriots were the better team anyway, they just never played like it until the 4th qtr which is where the Falcons have had problems all year.

Falcons backed into that SB because the NFC is really inconsistent right now.
