Reading that, if Matt Ryan was truly an elite QB, he would be changing the play or calling the play at the line.

That's why it's kinda weird that people are bashing Shanahan so hard for calling passing plays when they should've been running. Excuse me, but isn't Matt Ryan a 31 year old MVP QB?! Does he not have the authority to audible into a run play?!

Well, next year will determine how elite Matty is. If he reverts back to the on again off again Matty of old, maybe all the magic was in fact Shanahan's luck of the Irish.

So much of a similarity between them though, talent on the teams, the offense, and then choking at the absolute worst times, for Kelly it was 4 straight SBs.

Kelly was in three more SBs than Marino. That's a terrible comparison.

Brad Johnson and Flacco have more SB Victories than Marino to.

Marino played on a team where it was just him and no one else.

I'm not really seeing much of a similarity where it really counts. And Kelly and Matty in the same sentence makes my spell/grammar checker just go plumb crazy.

I wouldn't put him in Kelly company though. Jim was an elite/HOF QB.

Three of four of Kelly's teams were solid underdogs. They were a favorite against the Giants in the first, but Washington (7), Dallas (6.5) and Dallas (10.5) were heavily favored to win.
