Correct me if I am wrong, The Two Greatest Moments in Saints History

1. The Super Bowl win. Nothing can really compare.

2. The Falcons blowing the largest lead in SB history and doing it in painful delight

1B is the SuperDome return with Gleason's blocked punt

1C is Saints first playoff win #HakimDroppedTheBall

WRONG....

This will never be part of the "Greatest Moments in Saints History".

The fact that it is part of the "Greatest Moment in Falcons History" is what makes is great...
The fact that the Falcons didn't win a Superbowl makes it great...

WHAT MAKES IT GREAT FOR SAINTS FANS IS... IT IS THE FUNNIEST MOMENT IN FOOTBALL HISTORY!
And there is no doubt that anything could ever beat it. I bet you are still laughing.

I could go on but... Let the Falcons enjoy there much needed camping trip. They will be back soon enough.

1a - Drew Brees signing... Years of Greatness and who thinks we would have won the SB without him?
1b - The Super Bowl win.

Again, "WRONG....

The fact that that Ryan missed "greatness again" makes it great- fr almost everyone. Not just us...

this is not a great moment in Saints history .... its a great moment in FOOTBALL history because from now on every year this collapse by the Falcons will be mentioned anytime someone gets down by more than 10 points in a Super Bowl

(1) S Steve Gleason's block punt attempt by ATL P Koenen...

...we've got a statue outside the dome commemorating the event...

(2) CB Tracy Porter's interception of Payton Manning to seal victory in Superbowl XLIV...

...we won our first Superbowl with that one...

Honorable Mention...Hakim Drops the Ball

Since the post says the 2 greatest moments in Saints history, here are my 2:

#1 Signing Drew Brees, arguably the BEST free agent signing in NFL history. Without Brees the Saints are still just the Aints.

#2 Winning the Super Bowl

Like em all, but my additions would be Tracy Porter INT, I was drunk, spilled my beer, peed a little in my sweats and cried a little.

And the Gleason block, for personal reasons.

This is tough for me.

Hartley's FG in the NFCCG is #1 for me.
Everything after that was Lagniappe.

The Porter pick-6 was huge.

The Saints on the podium accepting the Lombardi was huge.

The Block was huge.

Tough one for #2

Gilliam deserves a mention, does any other franchise have a kick return for their first play ever?

Re: Correct me if I am wrong, The Two Greatest Moments in Saints History

Willie Jackson snagging 3 TD's, 134 yds against the Rams FTWildcardW is up there for me.

Think we also had a WR named Lincoln during that time. Steve Young said we had a bunch of dead Presidents, not WR's. Never forgot that comment.

I witnessed two of those in person. Will never ever forget those feelings. I want that again.

Porter's pick was an awesome play, but Reggie Wayne dropped a TD in the end zone right after that. I would say Porter's pick at the end of the Vikings' game was equally, if not more, important. And, I agree with Hartley's kick in the NFCCG. Didn't also set a record in the SB?

Your really can't argue winning the SB at number 1. Several have mentioned Drew's signing, but I didn't see anything about Sean.

How about Drew smashing Johnny U's consecutive TD record? Drew having his 5th 5,000+ yard season?

Lance Moore's upside-down 2 pt. conversion in the SB? Ambush? Meachem's strip against the Redskins for a TD? The River City Relay? Stephone Anthony's kick block score in 2015?

Superbowl win and then Dempsey's 63 yard field goal to beat the Lions in Tulane Stadium.

Re: Correct me if I am wrong, The Two Greatest Moments in Saints History

1) Ambush

2) Hartley setting a Super bowl record for kicks to win the Championship.

The purchase of the Saints by Tom Benson which paved the way for all of the other "Greatest Moments"

The signing of Drew Brees

He did, 4th and goal right at the end of the game, ball went straight through Wayne's hands on the goal line.

And I still say, no he didn't. Ball went through his hands yes, but he was not in the Endzone. I believe he was about half a yard short.
