Re: Can the Saints afford a free-agent splash?
As said by Danno, we have better results when we go smaller, less flashy free agents.
Nate Stupar, Craig Robertson and Nick Fairley all from last season show this. Our 2009 team was built with nobodies like Anthony Hargrove, Bobby McCray and Jabari Greer. |

Re: Can the Saints afford a free-agent splash?
As per the article, a lot of teams have a lot of money...
BUT, is waking up in Jacksonville, or Cleveland, or SanFran worth an extra million to Zeitler, or Bell, or Jeffery? |
Re: Can the Saints afford a free-agent splash?
I like to see them change the mentally/apparoache when it comes to spending money.
Spend the money on the two biggest factors going foward on this team and that is going to be the O line and D lines. My thinking is this... we are going to be moving to a new QB eventually and that QB position could be a rookie or a way cheaper Bree's. We are going to need a OL to protect him better than we have done Brees as that QB develops ect. |
Re: Can the Saints afford a free-agent splash?
Adam Bighill is going to put your mind at ease at wlb position . He's uncanny at seeing the play before it develops.
