Chris Terry
The release of Terry, who started only 18 games after the Seahawks signed him to a new five-year, $19 million contract following the 2002 season, had been rumored for weeks.

oh so would i. put mayberry inside start him on the other side of gandy. or keep mayberry outside and have gandy or terry as back up. dont know we could afford it though really. just dont think we could
|
Chris Terry
nope... read the fine print... \"off-field problems and injuries\". I don\'t think he\'ll get near the kind of contract he got with the Seahawks, nor do I see him in black and gold next year. Would not do it.

I\'m still VERY nervous about the right tackle position. Can Mayberry be an adequate starter, especially in pass protection? Just not confident that he will.
Signing someone who is a natural tackle and has his strength in pass blocking would be a good idea IMHO. If Terry fails the physical or can\'t dispel the doubts about his lifestyle, the Saints can still decide to not sign him. But why not talk to him? |
Chris Terry
He sounds perfect, off the field problems, injury problems, and he played college football at Georgia. There\'s no way Haslett can pass this up.
