After three straight 7-9 seasons, the New Orleans Saints are looking to shake off the mediocrity with the help of some upgrades in the offseason. The Saints are likely to have some money to spend (around $25 million) but the team should be prudent in its search. There will be good players available in free agency that could help the squad.

Man, Andre Branch is starting to grow on me. Shouldn't cost much and he's in his prime. I don't think we need a superstar at that position with the heat Jordan and Rankins will be bringing.

That guy Gilmore scares me. He was awful last year. Gilmore had 5 picks but I watched him play and he was on Browner level.

I'm willing to give him a pass for last season. By all accounts, Rob Ryan came in and ruined everything. Players had no idea what they were supposed to do. Take this tweet for example:

The idea of Logan Ryan manning one of the corners gets me excited the more I read about him. I am still high on AJ Bouye if the Saints feel that he is right and has proven they like Ryan more then I'm stoked!!! I am hopeful that Breaux will be a force this season and the other corners coming off IR should be ready to step in when needed and we can focus on the front seven.

CB Logan Ryan leaving NE would be shocking.

Nick Bellore as i said was interesting now i am pondering the wisdom of this writer

I realize that Nick Bellore is not NaVorro Bowman. The drop-off was to be expected, and some might say it is unfair to pile on Bellore, who likely did the best he could. None of that makes this any less frustrating. Bellore is certainly going to give it his all, but hopefully the flashier stats will not fool anybody. If he starts the rest of the season, there’s a decent chance he could finish the season leading the team in tackles. But there’s a reason he has spent most of his career primarily on special teams.

I know many of you will disagree, but I think the Saints should seriously consider Danny Woodhead. Yes, he has lost most of the past 2 of 3 seasons, he is up there in age, but if healthy he could fill that much needed roll that Bush and Sproles had. Despite the injury concerns, he should be relatively inexpensive and could be a very nice weapon for a year or two.

Forget these jokers. Give me Logan, sheard, kelvin Shepard and Lang. Resign fairley and bpa in the draft. This would make me extremely happy.
