He saw spot duty in an active rotating. The Pats cashed in on his ability to make big plays at keys times in a game.

I'll just be the one to say it... Why would he want to sign with us? He's at a point where he doesn't need to prove himself and he can sign with Super Bowl contenders who are just one piece away.
