With the money we have in the cap

We have plenty of money to get a receiver. We have enough to sign two or three big impact FA defensive players and a receiver to boot. I mean we should be thinking about the money we paid our punter. That and two first round picks on defense, that's honestly more than enough on impact defense. At worst half pan out and that's good enough. I will not be comfortable with a roster of Thomas, Snead, Coleman, and Fleener going into the season.

It would be interesting to hear what Brees is thinking right now...

There's a lot of receivers in free agency who won't demand huge contracts that could really help us out.

Brandon Marshall
Torrey Smith
Pierre Garcon
Kenny Britt
Kamar Aiken
Robert Woods
Marquise Goodwin

None of those players should come with a heavy price tag, so I'm with you there. We should add one or two of them.

As far as Tight End is concerned, there's not as much out there. We're kind of stuck with Fleener, but I'm sure there are some depth guys we could add. I wish we had never signed Fleener now.

Would like to get Pryor. Perfect for Brees at 6'4, fast and could play QB or create some nice trick plays. Likely out of our budget. Think the 49ers are considering it. Back shoulder all day.

Woods or Goodwin would be the only ones I would want from this list.

Would rather keep cooks. Both will call for a lot of cash but cooks is an established wr. Pryor has been a full time wr for 1 year.

Then why did we even draft Thomas last year?

Pryor can play QB and RB in a pinch. He's high dollar but he does bring a lot more to the table. He learned a new position in one season and hauled in over 1,000 yards. He would have had more yards if not for the musical chairs of QB over there. He had like 3 different QB's throwing to him and still got it done.

I know people don't like him for the most part but he is a big, fast, strong WR with solid hands. We also don't have anymore time with Brees to groom another WR.

If we have to use him as a qb or rb we would be in a ton of trouble. We sign a wr to play wr. Cooks is a wr. Plain and simple.
