This can free up as much as $7-$8 million in additional space.
Loomis always has this avenue available as he commonly includes this in contracts. There are also restructures and extensions that can be negotiated to free up quite a bit more space, if required. Caps are very fluid in the NFL. Sites like Over the Cap and Spotrac only show a snapshot, not what is truly available.
In other words, the Saints have plenty of room to stay relevant this off-season. |
