Q, I live in the Thibodaux/Houma area which is just a 1.5 hour drive...

We get a lot of ULL coverage and broadcasts here; was really impressed with McGuire last season and saw him as a sneaky pick for us this coming draft...

But after seeing his finish to the draft last season, his combine and pro day performances, it's obvious he's still injured and I'd make him a priority FA signing, stashing him till he's healthy, stronger (Pierre Thomas)...

Didn't say I didn't think he could be a good one (see my comparison)...

The real question is, can we afford to draft and stash if he needs another year to get healthy?

He still had a limp at his pro day; the foot injury is well documented and medicals require scrutiny...

This not the year to grab an injured player not even one who has a high ceiling. Draft immediate starters or developmental players for solid depth.jmho
