Not being on something puts any competing athlete at a disadvantage, "something" being steroids to make them stronger or heal faster, or substances so they can run a 40 with that mildly sprained ankle without feeling pain and slowing them down.
People say "how can they risk millions by taking stuff?" Those who are in that position, think "how can I risk millions by NOT taking stuff?" What you hear in the news about teams being wary or cautious of players who failed tests, it is mostly lip service for the media and the fans. |
