Of all of the offensive positions, the running back spot presents the clearest need for the New Orleans Saints entering this year's NFL Draft.

Mixon and Ingram would make a good 2 headed monster.

Mixon is a no go

We can pick up a solid #2 rb in mid rounds.

I think our depth behind Ingram is garbage. I could see us using our 2nd round pick on Alvin Kamara or Curtis Samuel.

Is there any chance of getting Khiry back?

O line before RB.

Defense before O line.

Khiry held our running game back. Ingram especially was inconsistent with him.

One injury to Ingram (not uncommon either) and its Lasco and Murphy. That is a problem

Now its " clear hole at running back " in the media world with mocks finally giving McCaffrey the respect he deserves.

McCaffrey is a perfect match for SP and SP is the perfect match for McCaffrey. A marriage made in heaven.

I get the feeling the media is forcing him up to the saints to make the mocks look good.

The McCaffrey pick would mean 2 or three players instantly start hanging on to the bubble by their finger nails when camp start. opening a roster spot or 2 would be a good thing for a defense rebuilding.

Cook is taking way to much of a pounding from media brain trust now. Fumbles are now a huge issue? give me a break. They always were. He has stop playing with the ball. I am more concerned with all the minor dings that kept Cook off the field at FSU.

Media brain trust geshhhh

I don't see Marcus making the final 53 roster either. He must have a strong camp & subsequent pre season.
Saw him far too many times in street clothes (healthy scratch) last season.

I have read that Carolina is considering McCaffery. This board really needs to zip it sometime because the enemy is watching.

Of course GMs read the forums! You think they aren't? This has already been known. GMs will do anything to get information on other teams especially division rivals.

How has this already been known? Who knows this? GM's know a hell of a lot more than any fan could hope to know, why would they search a fan forum for answers?

This is absolutely true! I happen to know the brother of a girlfriend of the uncle of the owner of the company that steam cleans the Browns locker rooms and he assures me that their GM reads the forums daily and pretty much follows most of the advice the members offer up.

I understand the ridicule, but I'd disagree with your broad stroke that "GM's know a hell of a lot more..."

I give you the following...

Alex, what is I'll take another wide receiver in the first round?

https://graneyandthepig.files.wordpr...tmillennbc.jpg

Well, one could argue he's responsible for the Dallas Cowboys Mini-Dynasty, even though he was Vikings GM!

http://stmedia.stimg.co/1mikelynn0722.jpg?w=525

Got a second chance with the same organization - hires Ole Ball Coach Spurrier...

http://misterirrelevant.com/wp-conte...rato_vinny.jpg

Yeah, I know, Ditka wanted it, but it's still the GM that signs off on it; what's worse, he should have learned from Mike Lynn's Herschel Walker trade!

I disagree that there's a clear hole at RB...

Last year we supposedly had a great corps...

We returned everyone but a reclamation back...

With Adrian Peterson, Karlos Williams, LeGarrette Blount, Bobby Rainey, and yes, even Reggie Bush among other options for No. 2 RB, don't see it imperative to have to take a RB...

I do believe out offense could go to another level though with Christian McCaffrey...

I agree. I am becoming more and more enamored with McCaffrey every day. I wouldn't be at all upset if we took him at #11. I doubt if he will make it past the bottom third of the first round.

I've been screaming for defense but McCaffrey is a perfect toy for Payton. Then draft defense until the 7th when we get a project O-lineman.

I agree, again. Way too many three and out the past couple of years. With a versatile player like McCaffrey there could be so many options on third down. There would always be mismatches somewhere, and unlike Fleener, he would take advantage of them.
