Tebucky Jones, who came to the Dolphins from New Orleans two weeks ago, didn't exactly impress Saints coach Jim Haslett before his departure.

''He doesn't have very good ball skills,'' Haslett said. ``He's only had one interception since he's been here. He struggles in space. I don't know why he can't catch a ball. It's the oddest thing I've seen.''

Haslett has one theory about why the Dolphins took Jones.

''I think Nick took him because they didn't really have anybody else,'' Haslett said. ``You've got to have some people that can line up and play.''

No really, this isn\'t exactly a shocking bit of info. We all knew that Tsuckey had 0 ball skills. Great athlete, not a good football player. Having said that, he\'ll probably go to Miami and go to the pro bowl every year till he retires. :casstet:

One last thing about old Tebucky before I forget his sorry azz. Was I the only one who was excited when we got him? I thought he would do some good things for the Saints, wrong. I thought he had alot of potential, wrong. Darn P word gets us every time. :mad:

I wasn\'t excited when we got Tesucky nic. But there haven\'t been many new players we had gotten outside of the draft that I have been excited for, in the draft too for that matter. lol Honestly, the last player we got I was probably excited to get was Stallworth. Bought his rookie jersey soon as he got his number. I guess he jaded me. ;)

:o Haslett is a joke...he wants to berate Tubuckey now, but if he and his scouting department had done their homework they would have known that....I am tirted of the Johnny come lately comments.....He should have fired Venturi, fought to keep randy meuller, and opened up the defense a long time ago...he is a joke....his best job is a coordinator, not head coach......

The thing that kills me is that all of the information surrounding the Tebucky Jones trade said that Jones was the guy that HASLETT really wanted.

people make mistakes. hey he probally thought the guy could do some things. but he couldnt. it happens. im not going to kill the guy over it. but i will say before they let him go they talked him up. now he isnt worht anything. well maybe that was a ploy to get something for him. who knows
