For what it's worth, he said all his issues were behind him. Said he understands his opportunity and doesn't want to hurt the team foremost...

Know what the video said, but he'd be better suited in a 3-4 as the Strongside OLBer...
This reminds me of 2013 sixth round pick, DE Rufus Johnson, Tarleton; remember him?

We had hired Rob Ryan and were changing to a 3-4 front and drafted the 4-3 DE and he didn't fit the roster scheme.

By the way, Johnson's now a 6' 5", 272 lbs...LBer, and is in a future's contract with the Redskins after a stent that ended in IR with the Patriots...

The more I talk to people the more he spikes my interest. The kid is a bull ox. Plays with a nasty attitude. So we might end up with a 2 down DE that will make QBs get off there spot. His sack totals might not be great but he might get a ton of hits and hurries.

He is raw due to his games he played off the field so he might be fun to watch develop.

Some scouts have stated he can "set the edge" in the run game. Something Deuce M has been preaching for years now at t/c.

Let's see how his game translates at the next level.

This pick screams of the Saints abandoning their values. I’d disagree with that sentiment. I’m fine with the Saints taking a chance on a pass rusher who once played for a major program. Yes, Muhammad flamed out at Miami, but none of his transgressions were criminal. A small risk for a potential sizable reward.

The more talented players we bring in the better chances our coaches have at getting them to produce at a high level. I like what I've seen from him....but those are high lights I'm watching. Still, I think he has a good shot at making the roster. It's going to be a fun training camp.

The kid is a impressive physical specimen.. Especially the way the draft fell for us I think that he is a good project. Coaching him up is the key . Hopefully we can get him to a point where he can contribute.

Very low risk and he has the "potential" to be high reward.
