Had high hopes for Kruger, but he was a bust.
Hills might resurface if we get hit with OL injuries again Quite a few also-ran DB's on the list. I guess when your projected nickel D DB's are all on IR or suspended by the second half of the year warm bodies are needed. other than Mauti, no offense to these guys, but I hope we have better alternatives in '17 |

Can't see bringing Kruger back with all the DEs we have now...
Earlier in the offseason, I'd hoped we'd re-sign him and draft Hendrickson to guide him along... We'll be fine; Kruger played well towards the end of the season, he was, after all, signed in Week 1... And then he was recovering from the neck problem...we should probably keep his phone number on speed dial... He'd be the only one on the list I'd want back at this point...Mauti will need another year for recovery... |

I liked what Kyle Wilson did when he was healthy before he got hurt. He looked like he might be getting better at the position and I'd like to at least bring him to camp.

I'd agree that while Wilson wasn't the CB projected by his draft status, he was a very solid slot DB... And don't forget the Saints originally wanted Moore, lost out, and still got him (is that a good thing?), but SM's got great grades against Julio Jones... |

Came in day 1 and was given the starting job, never earned it. Better yet, he was awful at the position and still played all year. Kruger was no different than Bobby Richardson. Meanwhile a guy that actually earned the spot rode the bench all season... Maybe that's not his fault, but the coaches should have benched him at some point. |
