this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Another take on why I'd like to Zimmer make the jump and win a spot at the 3Tech is our depth chart could look like this Week 1... Now you can spell move Ony outside full-time as he auditioned last ...

Now you can spell move Ony outside full-time as he auditioned last season, keeping an older Jordan fresher... You'd have two terrific athletes in Rankins and Zimmer at the 3 tech tackle really disrupting the active gap... Fairley has shown his impact is made in bursts on passing downs and despite a torn labrum, Davison was beast on run downs... And you could have three different quality pass rushers to interchange in Okafor, Hendrickson and Kikaha on the weakside... DEFENSE DE (2) 94 - Cameron Jordan, 93 - David Onyemata DT (2) 98 - Sheldon Rankins, 92 - Justin Zimmer NT (2) 95 - Tyeler Davison, 90 - Nick Fairley DE (2/3) 97 - Alex Okafor, 99 -Trey Hendrickson (R3, P103), 44 - Hau'oli Kikaha Practice Squad: 00 -Al-Quadin Muhammad (R6, P196) 96 - Ashaad Mabry Trade? or third pass rusher to regain value? 44 - Hau'oli Kikaha |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Trade? or third pass rusher to regain value? 44 - Hau'oli Kikaha At this point, anything we get from Kikaha is lagniappe after 3 ACLs. |

I may be wrong but I believe that even though he has potential as a role playing DE he is a better fit as a 3-4 LB'er. Some team might see a little value in him and trade for a conditional pick.

Just my opinion, the Saints run a base 4-3 but they line up in the 3-4 often enough to make Kikaha worth keeping as a OLB. I love the high motor guys and his 4 forced fumbles were outstanding.

[quote=K Major;749015]Agreed. Him, Swann, and Williams just don't have the bodies. It's a shame because they have talent and give 110%.
