Saw this on PFT, so I decided to put it to the B&G!

Former Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will be facing the Vikings on the first Monday night of the season. And Peterson is looking forward to showing the Vikings defense what he can do against them, after years of boasting that “I’ll hit you guys for 150 or 200 yards.”

I hope he runs angry and he helps the Saints blow the hinges off the Vikings D to give us the start to the season we need.

Since this is the opener, I have AP around 8 carries for about 35 yards. If AP is really healthy, by week 3 he will more than likely assume the bulk of the running game and have about 1300 rushing yards for the year. If this prediction is right, it would be one of the few times for me... lol

He's not a real threat in the passing game. Really never developed into anything above mediocre there, then again does he need to?

I think this is closest thing I read so far. Really doubt he gets a ton of yards this season although I do see him as scoring a lot of TDs and converting a lot of 3rd downs.

I hope we do not pull a rams here where Brees exerts all his energy in this game and not be ready for the next one. NE is a game we need Brees in considering what the pats are about to do. The saints though don't game plan weeks ahead though so I am hoping Brees waits until week 2 to show his cards. Let AP carry week 1.

Due to it being AP return to Minnesota, I'm feeling some touches will be taken away from Ingram so he won't have as many opportunities to go past 100 yards.....

There is something to be said for a heavily motivated player. Watch out for some mean runs. I hope he breaks 100 yards but Payton won't feature Peterson over Ingram......he's afraid to hurt his feelings.

Also there have to be incentives in Ingram's contract that pay him to be on the field he wants to hit.

Even at 32, this is the one guy who could get that bonus. Too bad he doesn't play for a run first team like Dallas.

I see him being used as a decoy more and Thomas has 9 catches for 210 and 3 TDS blowing past 8 men in the box.
