This is a bit of a gamble and maybe a change of teams is just what the Dr orders for him. I do not mind the signing and will be watching what happens. If he bounces back the saints made a solid move cap wise by signing him. I am still banking on Klien to be the biggest bang for the buck this year, he might be #2 This is why I did not fly off the handle. Pass blocking is my biggest concern right now. But he is better than other option we have right now. At times you gotta roll the dice. After years of rolling the dice in FA I like this one better than Byrd, Browner and Fleener. |

As I said on earlier post(s), not sold on Warford at all... Hey, I've been pretty optimistic about many parts of our roster, before and after the draft; the interior Offensive line, have okay starters without Unger has me pessimistic right now... |

Zeitler: 3 years, $31 million guaranteed, $42 million total outlay Warford: 2 years, $17 million guaranteed, $21 million total outlay In short, it's no contest as Zeitler's contract is essentially double of Warford's. So AP's $3 million or so is essentially a drop in the bucket. Quote:

BTW Unger isn't out indefinitely. Depending on reports, he's unavailable for 3-5 months. The outside edge of that is the 1st quarter of the season plus the bye. If that's what it takes to get his foot healthy enough to play the rest of the season, then it's time well spent. Every season folks worry about something on offense. Yet every season the offense seems to do fine as long as #9 is back there taking snaps. Last I checked, that hasn't changed. If you want fact based worrying, then filling in for injuries should be the target. This seems to happen all over the organization. SFIAH |

Saints have to trust the depth behind them. A solid team won't panic (that's us ;)). |

thats what i thought , we could'nt touch zeitler with the all the other needs in the mix, so i don't think we dropped the ball on zeitler, now big larry i can't seem to recall if he's the pro bowler that had the crazy no. of off sides called on him for fidgety movement on the line , i hope i'm mistaken, o big larr.

No way we could've outbid Cleveland.

Own 3rd down. I mean absolutely jam it down their throats when we need to convert.
Same for our defense. I have zero statistical information to back this up but I just felt like we often failed to stop teams on critical 3rd downs. Maybe it's the game day beers clouding my judgement. |
