In years we go 0-2 we have not made the playoffs. So by beating either Washington or LA, we change those odds and fortunately, they are back to back this time.

The secret to the playoffs is winning more games than other teams.


Or an even simpler route is to win the division. Period.

A quick start would do wonders for this teams moral and the fans.

Judging by how hard of a schedule we seem to be facing, I'd agree...

We pretty much have to get out to a 2-0 start to have any chance of having a winning season and making the playoffs...

And both the opponents will be good tests, tells...

Minnesota has had an excellent defense and will be in as hostile an environment the Saints have faced in years...

Then you come back home and the Superbowl Champions and Bill Belichick are waiting for us...

I would rather have the game against the Patriots later in the year and give the defense time to work together and know each other's strengths and weaknesses.
