You can bet the telephone lines and switch boards are going to light up when the roster is announced on cut day. This is where we could possibly bring in another speedster to help stretch the field if no one on the roster steps up. I hope the FO is following several edge players from every single team who could be a possible fit here.

When I first heard about this I was a little taken back. I thought, thirty-seven cuts in one day is a lot. Doesn't this make it harder to evaluate our roster with so many cuts at one time? Where as a cut from 90 to 75 is slower and would give coaches a little more time to evaluate.

Then I realized that there's some good stuff here too. If all the teams trim the roster by 37 players on one day, there's going to be some really good untapped talent out there. Maybe players to pick up and stash on the PS or even bring in for the 53.

Either way, I wonder why the owners wanted this and how the coaches feel about it.

A bunch of guys drawing an extra paycheck, and based on reps needed, teams will continue to trim early.
The number 75 guy on your team is sill an extreme longshot to be someone else's number 53.
I other words, I'd bet very few teams will need to cut more than 25 the last day
