Those are the ones that base their view upon what happened in the past without recognizing that those issues, and others they were not even aware of, have been addressed. If absolutely nothing had changed from the past I could understand your concern. But, that isn't the case. I honestly feel there have been a large number of positive moves made this off-season and that makes me extremely optimistic for 2017.
If you ever notice when I write on here I always talk about possible this or possible that. I don't pretend things are absolute. You consistently talk as if things are a forgone conclusion. The problem is no one knows that right now. Even the coaching staff doesn't know. There is certainly potential, but until a down is actually played we can't be certain of a thing. YOu keep saying this has been addressed, that has been addressed. There was an attempt to address things, but we have no idea how any of these moves will pan out. These guys have even put a pad on yet.

Your team stinks

Exactly! And that the whole reason I am positive and excited about the potential. And the front office has absolutely addressed the issues, without a doubt. I choose to believe those moves will be successful. That's being positive.

So then this year you're predicting a super bowl appearance.

I wouldn't be shocked. Nobody could predict that, but I honestly feel they could make it there. But, that is the difference between being positive and ... not.

You were positive last year, the year before, etc, and you were wrong. There is a difference between positive and unrealistic. You're predictions sometimes are quite unrealistic

If you're positive, put your money where your mouth is and state you expect them to make the SB

I expect them to make the Super Bowl every year. What is wrong with that? I am a fan of the NFL in general and a fan of the Saints in particular because I enjoy being entertained. Trying to look for negatives is counterproductive to being entertained. What does a person gain from looking at anything but the best in a situation pertaining to a game that is played to entertain the viewing public?

Seriously.

Nothing, but where you "expect" I hope and evaluate realistically where the team is at. We are definitely more talented right now and headed in the right direction. Sometimes (and this my opin of 06) it is more important that you win than anything else. Winning somehow breeds winning, and losing somehow does the same thing. So I'd like to see us win a few games early instead of this 0-2 or 0-4 **** SP and the team has provided recently.

You gain being realistic, if all you do is polish **** sandwiches all day people will keep handing you a **** sandwich. But if you evaluate the **** sandwich and see how you can improve it maybe in a few years you're eating an angus burger. Like I said, just putting a positive spin on everything does nothing, absolutely nothing. There is a slow movement to stop that because companies are finding nothing is improving and everyone is scared to face the difficulties the company faces. Complaining is different than being honest. I am just not going to run around and be full of crap because it is positive and I can pretend I live at willy wonkas house and my **** sandwich is good.

Your team stinks
