Rafael Bush embracing role...
Should have never let this guy geaux; he was better than Byrd...

Re: Rafael Bush embracing role...
IMO, solid depth signing & Rafael is only 29 years young.

Re: Rafael Bush embracing role...
Believe it's only a one year deal, why they didn't sign him for two is a head scratcher cause the guy always shows up to play and plays full-tilt...

I'm very happy to have him back. When we first got him I knew nothing about him but already liked him because he made my jersey still relevant . He is a low priced safety that always out plays the overpaid ones.

Re: Rafael Bush embracing role...
Like the hits he lays. Always fun to watch him crush someone.

Re: Rafael Bush embracing role...
Welcome home. Now go lay the wood and show these young guns how it's done. We have a strong safety group this year...........thank God Byrd is gone.

Re: Rafael Bush embracing role...
He is one of those players I love. No matter when he gets a chance to play he is always out there getting the job done.
Want to define the type of players you want on your bench? Here it is. Active part of a rotation keeping players fresh for the fourth and has the skill set to fill in without a dramatic drop off in ability. |
Re: Rafael Bush embracing role...
That hit was absolutely NOT a penalty!!!!

Re: Rafael Bush embracing role...
I'd like to see him embrace his old role of knocking the dog **** out of WRs

Re: Rafael Bush embracing role...
I'm not saying he isn't a good player, but he did have some mental issues during his last stint with the Saints. He, at times, seemed to look for that big hit when one wasn't available and got frustrated because of it, which in turn led to some lapses in concentration and steaming on the sidelines.
It's great that the guy wears his heart on his sleeve, but there's a limit to that - especially if the guy is supposed to set an example for the younger guys. He is an ok safety, but if things go well with the roster - he shouldn't see many defensive snaps this season. Sent from my FRD-L19 using Tapatalk |
Re: Rafael Bush embracing role...
I posted an article several years ago that broke down his plays, and stated that he was just an average NFL safety when everyone was high on him.
Many poo-pooed that article, but looking back I think it was spot on. He's a very good ST player and a "decent" NFL safety. Nothing more. But that ain't all bad in todays NFL. I'm glad he's back and I think he's a high-quality back-up, but he isn't really a high-quality starter. |
Re: Rafael Bush embracing role...
Does anyone think that a player embracing role as a backup should be cut at this point in the season?
