Going off of players like Ricky Williams at 32 he can still get it done and some. He needs more time to heal though. If healthy he is going to make us proud. We upgraded Hightower. That is all that happened.

Heath Evans already said he was a 1. I think it meant we're not going to be run first so he won't get 28 touches a game.

Mark Ingram might be unappreciated by fans, but the Saints love, respect their 'Alpha' back | NOLA.com

I believe the majority of Saints fans respect MI. Rough first few years, but broke through.
I do wonder however, how much SP respects him. Sean has shown a pretty quick hook with Ingram in the past. Might be even quicker with a HOF backup on the sidelines

I think whatever happens both Peterson and Ingram will be very professional about it. Both guys are looking to win the Super Bowl, both these veterans understand this is a good opportunity and situation.

There was a great interview on Cox Sports TV with Deuce McAllister, where they asked him how he felt when they drafted Reggie Bush.

Deuce replied - I'd been in the league a handful of years and never made the playoffs, Sean told me that Reggie and I would be splitting touches and I replied, whatever gets us to the playoffs I'm fine with.

I would expect most players to feel the exact same way.

No better way to push Ingram as it'll light a fire under his arse having a future HOF sitting there to compete for touches...

If Ingram falters under the pressure, then the Saints still made the right choice in signing Peterson to get the job done...

It's not about Ingram, it's about complementing the passing game with a legit threat from the running game and eating clock to keep the defense off the field...

Ingram & Adrian ... those are excellent options to have in the backfield.

Many teams have a revolving backfield. It's not a thing other than reporters trying to create some controversy. If I had to guess though AP will likely get called on more around the GL.

Most fans respects him and he really does nothing wrong. Ingrams biggest problem is the expectations placed on him because he won a Heisman, people expected the next AP or Emmit Smith and got a guy that couldn't break 1000yds in his first couple of seasons. It was the same thing with Bush, everybody expected Barry Sanders but got something else.
