Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro hasn't met any of his goals yet
 

Kenny Vaccaro has had four productive seasons with the New Orleans Saints. He's also one of the few young players on the roster with playoff experience having played two postseason games as a rookie.

But, as Vaccaro looks toward his fifth season, he wants more. A lot more.

"I haven't met any of my goals, and it pisses me off, really," he said. "I want to really, really, really work hard this summer and prepare for the season that I need to have because I feel like a lot of people know it's in me. A lot of people know I'm good, but I haven't earned the respect that I need and I want that."

Well..if he didn't get suspended the last 4 games maybe he could have hit a goal or 2..just sayin! Hopefully, he can continue to improve and meet whatever goals he has.

Just like Malcolm Jenkins, couldn't catch a cold in the Artic whilst he was here. Then goes off to Philly and gets a shed load of picks and TD's.

A lot of that had to do with defensive scheme. He was never put into the situation to succeed.

He could be great in the box and slot cover. He's a keeper.

I'm kind of in a quandary with what to do with Vaccaro. I like him... Not love him.

Are Vonn Bell and Marcus Williams the safety tandem of the future? From what we're hearing out of OTA's and mini-camp Vonn Bell has become the undisputed leader of the secondary.

Vaccaro will be looking for a deal similar to Tony Jefferson's 4 year/$34 million with $19 million guaranteed. I don't feel like he's quite there yet, but I'm not there in the locker room and meeting rooms so I don't know his true value to the team.

I think Vaccaro is probably more talented than the other two but was misused.

This season will be fascinating because Vaccaro will be all over the place more than ever. Beat writers have talked quite a bit during mini-camp about the emphasis being placed on disguising coverages due to the versatility of our safeties. We'll see Vaccaro in the box, in single-high, cover 2, you name it.

At times I've thought going the Deone Bucannon/Shaq Thompson/Mark Barron route with Vaccaro would be best and making him that undersized LB full-time. We're going to learn a lot this season and I'm ready!

I know it's off topic but i can't wait to see breaux this season. He seems to improve each year.

I felt Robertson showed very good speed in coverage at linebacker last season...

Particularly remember him covering Ginn in the end zone and Ginn being out but the refs couldn't come up with definitive evidence to overturn (I saw it, he was out) and it was the difference in the game...

Stupar was pretty solid in coverage as well last season as well...

And those two guys may be our reserves...

Somehow the Panthers knew we'd be in cover 2 so they sent Ginn on that deep route up the middle in Robertson's coverage. D'oh! What a heck of a job Robertson did though staying step for step with him.

Yep, I agree we're in good shape at LB now. Vaccaro will either excel this season playing different coverages or some weaknesses will get exposed. A true make or break year for him.

You said the same thing about Puddin'. Vaccrro isn't as good as many here think he is plus he likes the adderall. If he thinks he deserves top SS money he's nuts.

And what do you mean he likes the Adderall? He's now automatically "in the system" and can be randomly tested ten times per month. He's most likely the last player on the team to touch anything banned again.
