Don't see Gayle Benson as a long-term owner; so it makes sense that the son of New Orleans' son could put together an ownership group...

However viewed Duncan's motives for the article, it would be a logical progression...

I see the exact opposite. Peyton Manning doesn't give one iota about the Saints and never has. I'm having trouble locating the source at the moment but there is a direct quote from him & the teams he cheers/roots for. PM listed at least 5 or 6 teams and the Saints weren't one of them.

If anyone believes Manning is a secret Who Dat Fan to become our Ozzie Newsome/John Elway some day, you're kidding yourselves. A more probable role would be in Indy.

I get it because the team traded his Dad away; I saw the Manning family on television at the airport as his Dad departed; I was still young and devastated when that Bum traded Manning...

Firmly believe if the Manning family took ownership that the Saints franchise would be taken to another level...

Everything they do, the do it right...And we'd be fools not to root for that to happen...
