The sooner the regular season starts the better
I just want all these questions answered......
1.Has the defense become top 20 or a turnover-generating one? 2.Will the oline be better than last year? 3.If AP is not starting, will he be able to break off massive runs with reduced volume? 4.Will Ingram actually start to beat good run defenses like the elites do? 5.Will the adage apply that a defense that gives short fields will cut down on Brees' poor throws and actually improve points? 6.Will Lutz be in a situation to have to kick more FGs than he is able to if the defense improves but only FG attempts result? 7.If the defense is good, does the offense release hidden plays that would have been effective last year? Overall, the two big things on my mind is 1.Ingram not making or making AP look stupid as a backup and 2.the defense giving short fields actually paying off. |
Re: The sooner the regular season starts the better
#7 is kind of weird, but this actually isn't a bad post.

Re: The sooner the regular season starts the better
I don't hold up much hope for this year. Division is toughest in football and like us, have taken steps to improve too. 7/9-9/7 is about what I feel like we will see.

Re: The sooner the regular season starts the better
Yeah as really they need to eye on the Falcons first. And Buccaneers second as really they are the X factor.

Re: The sooner the regular season starts the better
Not a bad post at all Will! Should warrant some pretty good discussion. I can't really say anything for certain though until after training camp and maybe even the third preseason game. If our CB's start dropping like flies again we could end up starting Arthur Maulet and some street free agent like Alterraun Verner just like last season with Crawley/Moore.

Do any of you care what I think? I knew you did... Ok then... here is my answer to Question to #8: Where is the white women? :google: OFF-SEASON QUESTION #69: Which white woman do you like better #1, #2, #3, #4...? Anybody that doesn't answer this question will have to report to Smashmouth's tent at midnight at the B&G Camping Trip. :censored: :moon: :bart: http://acidcow.com/pics/20140528/bea...y_girls_59.gif https://media.giphy.com/media/IC67B7SIGR41W/giphy.gif https://68.media.tumblr.com/bcdfa409...ulxxoo_540.gif http://www.teamjimmyjoe.com/wp-conte...s-jiggling.gif |
Re: The sooner the regular season starts the better
Good questions for the most part. I'll take a crack at them.

Maybe it's the fact that turnovers and short fields often leads to a lead. And frankly every facet of the Saints seems to play better with a lead. Quote:
As for the last one you can bet that Payton has drawn up plays we haven't seen before. I mean imagine Ingram and Peterson in the backfield with Kamara in the slot... SFIAH |

It's going to be hard for defenses to key in on any one facet of the offense; You have AP/Ingram who should both be running well, defenses will have to stack the box more than just keying in on the pass. Than that opens up play-action and then when all else fails you have Kamara who should beast as the wild card like Sproles/Bush did... |

I am going to hold off until I see what w elook like in preseason. I am not a big believer in preseason setting the season other than if we look completely inept...like last year.

1.Has the defense become top 20 or a turnover-generating one? - Maybe, closer to 20. 2.Will the oline be better than last year? Depends on Unger. Armstead is never healthy anyway and we have gotten away with it. Andrus should be better. I don't see there being much of a drop off unless Ungers injury lingers 3.If AP is not starting, will he be able to break off massive runs with reduced volume? That's the obvious plan. I don't think anyone expects him to start. All depends on his health. 4.Will Ingram actually start to beat good run defenses like the elites do? Depends on APs health. By himself I think he's produced as much as he is going to. Which is pretty damn good when healthy. Agin it depends on health. 5.Will the adage apply that a defense that gives short fields will cut down on Brees' poor throws and actually improve points? I've never heard of a defense improving a QBs throw. Short fields lead to more points. I would love to hear which other QBs you think have less "poor throws?" Dumbass 6.Will Lutz be in a situation to have to kick more FGs than he is able to if the defense improves but only FG attempts result? Depends on field positiin and blocking . Most misses weren't all his fault. He seemed to learn to put ball higher. 7.If the defense is good, does the offense release hidden plays that would have been effective last year? More so with a running game. He will have more options if both AP and Ingram are healthy. We will keep a lead by running up the gut to close games. Overall, the two big things on my mind is 1.Ingram not making or making AP look stupid as a backup and 2.the defense giving short fields actually paying off. Short fields always pay off when you have a QB and offense like we do that can score pretty much on any play. Still an idiot but I sense you may have gone outside of moms basement for 15 min or so to make groceries for her. Sunlight is good for you. |
