What this tells me, coupled with the Murphy release, is that the Saints like what they are seeing from Ginn and Kamara. By releasing both of them this early gives both a better chance of catching on elsewhere. Murphy already landed on the Jets. I've heard Bill Polian and Pat Kirwan both talk about this on NFL radio. If a GM knows a player has skills but also knows they have no chance at making the final roster they will often do their best to help that player. What from the outside seems cold and callous, it is actually quite honorable.
