This is a true story...

So I get a late customer, he's a Big Saints Fan that's always wearing something Black & Gold, today it was a Magellan-style vented B&G Fishing/Boating Shirt with Saints sunglasses...

, and so I'm telling him about BlackandGold.com, opinions all over the place, mostly smart guys & gals, diverse senses of humour, but a mostly informed group that shares information nearly as soon as it's leaked...

Anyways I geaux to show him the site how to navigate, read posts and as we're going down the threads, he says, "Damn, cher, y'all got Breaux's x-rays?"

I click the thread having full-knowledge of the thread's author...

I think I forget sometimes that the women I grew up with, the ones that would crack up about this or join in the fun and give as good as they get, are not everywhere. I come from a rough family where if you heard us speak to each other you wouldn't even know we were family. My sisters would never be offended by this, but some people are sensitive and they need a softer approach. I need to be cognizant of those softer types and make sure to consider how easily they can be offended and that I need to be softer for them and less harsh. I am going to work on being more in tune with my feelings and the feelings and softness of others.

Well to me this is a joke and it makes me laugh. For those that don't find it funny, carry on. But to me it keeps things lite instead of always being upset about the situations with our favorite team.

In real football life and not the portion meant for my amusement and hopefully the amusement of some others:

, I have nothing against Breaux, but I don't think he played well last year after the injury and then he got hurt again and went to IR. Fast forward to this year dont think he was doing too hot in camp and then got injured again. Now SP and Saints are supposedly looking to trade him. I think he is done, but this post has nothing to do with that.

No he hasn't said anything. It's just the frustration boiling over as he the latest of a string of talented but always seemingly unavailable Saints players.

Of course injured players are inevitable in this business. So honestly I'm liking the Saints current DB approach of developing a squad comprised of 1 and 1A starters followed by all #2 guys. It was done by necessity last season. But being deliberate about it in terms of giving guys like Crawley and Harris first team reps prepares for when the worst happens, like Williams freak injury last year.

I figure that everyone is going to get their shot during the season. So it makes little sense to rush back players who are not 100% right now. But I am glad that Lattimore seems to be getting back to a point where he can get needed reps. Because just like everyone else back there, the Saints are going to need him sooner rather than later.

Did you have a chance to listen at Coach Payton's post practice pressor on yesterday? Spin it however you like but Breaux either needs to get healthy or find himself on the bench and/or cut. His availability has been in question for some time now.

I hope Breaux sticks but he can't help us on the sideline.

I see. It seems like year in and year out the Saints are always among the top 5 or top 10 NFL teams with compounding injury problems. Even in our Super Bowl year we had our fair share. It doesn't even surprise me anymore.

I'm not so sure if Payton is pointing the finger in the right place. Injuries happen sure, even seasons with LOTS of injuries happen. This many injuries at the same position for so many years is a pattern. Patterns are usually a result of consistency. There has got to be something they are doing in practice or in conditioning that is causing all these injuries at CB. Even the backfield in general.
This many injuries at the same position year in year out isn't just bad luck or "part of the game"

Yea we have had some injury at running back too but it's nowhere near as bad. It's not year after year after year. RBs are going to get injured anyway.

Maybe if Payton would stop rolling the dice on injury prone players we could keep a corner on the field for 16 games. Instead he drafts a guy with hamstring issues to play a position that is decimated by injury every year.

I feel bad for Breaux. To come back from what he's endured. To be offered up for trade and finding out it was his medical team's error... The kid has heart and he's put forth a ton of effort. I wish him a speedy recovery and a return only IF he's actually cleared to play

He had it done right for sure this time. Dr. Robert Anderson from Green Bay did the procedure of removing the old plate and installing a new one. He is nationally renowned. The fracture was just below the first plate.
