I think Payton kinda feels like a horses a$$. I can see why. So now he wants a chance to clean the slate. I would expect that they will give the guy a chance to heal and prove his worth like anyone else.

Not to mention this is great for our leverage in contract negotiations. Maybe get him on the cheap based on his history of injuries.

Breaux is a restricted FA next year so there won't be any contract negotiations for 2 years. By then he'll be turning 30.

True, but he doesn't have a lot miles on him either...

He may not earn a max CB contract, but it'll be a significant enough contract he'll have some good security...

If he stays home, he'll also have the benefit of a free meal in every town in South Louisiana and some doors will open with post-game opportunities...
