I agree, but I think Ramczy will be a good player.

2 mins is as far as I made it...just compare the dang tapes & move on. Sorry, but my military side requires folks to get to the point quickly w/o music & explosions.

I wonder what they (coaches) do with Ram after Armstead returns? Just forward thinking I suppose ....

Hopefully Ramczyk will be playing so good they leave him there. Armstead could be used for relief and as a extra tackle in jumbo packages.

Yes this! May be a good idea to let Armstead ease on in and take a part time roll. The guy is having no luck with injuries lately.

B.S. if Armstead comes back healthy there is no way they should leave Ramczyk in. Why would you leave a rookie in "just because" and keep one of the top tackles on the bench? You put the best player on the field. Period.
If their on the field performance is equal then fine but the likelihood of that happening Ramis first year is nill.
That would be like shaving with a safety razor even though you know a straight razor is better just so it won't get dull because you don't know how to hone it.

That being said, if he is better than Ramczyk it will be fairly early in the season still. Do we keep him for rotation or do we trade him for an unexpected position of need for an equally talented player? Assuming it's before the deadline.

Do what they originally planned to ... a year of back up and spot duty to let the one year wonder get coached up.

Armistead's injuries has been his main problem lately. The guy was a straight up stud before that. Strief is not getting any younger so unless we can replace Armistead with someone good I think we keep both and one moves to right tackle. Now we are pretty set at tackle.

This season Armistead is expected to be out for nearly the entire season, isn't he?In that case we should not replace Ram because I think you have close to a full season of these guys playing together.

You missed my point. I said I was hoping that Ramczyk was playing so good that you couldn't take him out. I never said anything about "just because". If Ramczyk is performing at a high level and the line is working well together as a unit it would be foolish to sit him and insert Armstead. Did I say that would definitely be the case? No. I said "hopefully". That would be a great situation to have.

Trade partners are difficult to find during the season given you are working within cap restraints.

I read yesterday that he is ahead of schedule. A labrum repair is not that difficult to return from since it doesn't have anything to do with supportive tissues. Given when he had the surgery he could be ready during the first quarter of the season, but he probably goes on the PUP and returns after game six.
