It just occurred to me -

Pats best WR Edelman is out for the year and now have Cooks to fall back on.

Saints best OT Armstead is out for most of season at least and now have Ryan R. (1st round pick) to fall back on.

Remember when Edelman posed nude for ESPN? Remember what happened to Arrietta's stats in MLB after he posed nude last year? This thing is the new Madden curse.

Edelman was his main competition. Edelman though, hardly any TD's last year and with their offense, he could be iced at any given time. I doubt he gets the yards he got last year. It was a good move for us. MT is a much better WR1. He can do it all.

Its amazing to me how people are I find the it comical how player x is the greatest thing since sliced bread and then when they are traded or leave for whatever reason. Now its player x sucks he don't do this or that etc. Its comical very comical

Hard to imagine him under 1000 yds even if he wont go across the middle. He can beat you deep and hell take a short post the distance too. Brady will get him the ball. It might even be scary good too. I hope not.

I find it comical that you find that comical. I didn't see anyone say any of what you said in you post. Not even close. And who cares if people don't like him anymore? He acted kind of douchy last year a couple of times and no longer plays for the Saints anyway.

Saints have plenty film on him & pretty much know his weaknesses. Doesn't like contact,struggles with press coverage, sucks @ 50/50 ball, sucks at the screen game. 9 route all day from the slot with the out& up. Decoy is my guess vs Saints.

Depends on Ramis health. Regardless though I think it was a good call. We certainly didn't get shafted and DID get a position of needs. Our running game will give our other receivers get less focus so theoretically we could be more prolific with less talent at receivers. That being said I'm not convinced we have less talent there.

Again though it all hinges on the offensive line. We may even start the season with a backup lineman that's not even on the team.
