Because we already have five (5) RBs on the active roster already not counting the FB Kuhn and there are only ten spots; basically trying to round out scout teams...

We're trying to sign positions that may be thing on the active roster (e.g. QB, WR, OL, TE, LB) in the event of, well, that word which shall not be said...

If someone like Maulet or Victor is signed, I wouldn't be surprised if the Saints are getting inquiries about another player > protection for depth...

Taysom Hill and Austin Carr go straight to the 53 man roster. We'll have to make corresponding moves to make space like putting Breaux on IR.
