The Saints need some offensive line help for the next few weeks, and they’re looking at some experienced options.

According to Josh Katzenstein of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the Saints are working out blockers today, including NFLPA president Eric Winston.

The 33-year-old Winston was cut by the Bengals, but could step in quickly in the short term since Zach Strief if going to miss a few weeks with an MCL sprain.

Earl Watford (who was in camp with the Jaguars), and Dallas Thomas (Eagles) are also among the workouts. Saints working out linemen, including Eric Winston – ProFootballTalk

Ok, one problem being addressed. Where are the DBs?

We're not going to find a good replacement for Strief right now. There aren't anywhere near enough good O-Linemen to start on all 32 teams. We're going to plug in Bryce Harris and it probably won't be a great outcome but what can you do.

I'm starting to think Vaccaro is not the answer at safety, he's not all he's cracked up to be.

Raphael Bush understands zone concepts better.

It's frustrating because our safeties go elsewhere and play better, Malcolm Jenkins is an all pro now, Bush played great with the Lions and even Roman Harper grabbed a couple ints with the panthers in 2015.

I think if you can generate ANY sort of QB pressure, your secondary play will look improved instantly and dramatically.

But now it's regular season and where did it all go? Poor game by DA, and honestly poor communication and recognition at many points by some of the players.

The Defense was on the field way to long. The Offense needs to help out.

Until the saints show they can handle rub routes and short crossing routes, they're going to be a lot more 3rd down conversions

I'm not against trading our entire draft next year for a good future QB, 2 offensive lineman and 1 great DT

Is this going to be our Achilles heel?

Why can't they see if Peat or Ram can play there? And just let Kelemete play LG again? I mean it was the weak part of our oline last year at LG but RT is more important.

Patience with the run game, with longer, sustained drives that keep our defense off the field...

It doesn't seem like the D was on the field all that much the way the Vikes were merely strolling up and down it.

Still say

Peat to LT
Ram to RT
Siergo to LG

I love Armstead at LT vut the saints need to address his on going stints on IR. Take the buy out in 2019?

Terron Armstead
Potential Out: 2019, 3 yr, $31,321,000; $7,400,000 dead cap

If so they need to get a replacement on the roster.

I could live with the Saints wheeling and dealing in the draft. I want a 2nd and/or a 3rd so bad right now.

R1 - Mike McGlinchey LT/RT Notre Dame 6072 310 5.22 #68 rJr
R3 - Troy Fumagalli TE Wisconsin 6054 249 4.84 #81 rSr
R3 - Frank Ragnow C/OG,Arkansas 6052 319 5.14 #72 Sr

or Keep Armstead

R3 - Troy Fumagalli TE Wisconsin 6054 249 4.84 #81 rSr
R3 - Frank Ragnow C/OG,Arkansas 6052 319 5.14 #72 Sr
R4 - Ike Boettger OT/TE Iowa 6046 307 5.02 #75 rSr
R5 - Spain Bentley OT/OG N Carolina 6056 300 5.04 #75 Sr
