Payton has always been horrible at in game changes. Horrible at attacking other teams weaknesses. Brees and a lot of talent helped him overcome some of that. Now, it's painfully obvious. And actually has been since he came back from suspension. The league knows what he's going to do. The team has not bought what he's selling. And will not. We saw the opposite of that on display today. Dressing 3 WR's in a passing offense and being absolutely unstoppable. No one outside of New England fans can name 7 people on their team. Belichick is the best coach in modern NFL history. Hands down.

PERFORMANCES OF NOTE:
QB DREW BREES, 88.0 OVERALL GRADE
While he missed a handful of throws, Brees was let down a number of times by his receivers. Whether it was via the three drops or the handful of contested catches they were unable to make, Brees’ receiving corps could have easily pushed their quarterback over 400 yards with a little help.

WR TED GINN JR., 39.8 OVERALL GRADE
Ginn was the main culprit on the day. He was targeted six times and gained only 24 yards on those targets with a dropped pass. He’s never been much in traffic and that was yet again the case today.

S KENNY VACCARO, 34.2 OVERALL GRADE
With trade rumors swirling, if the Saints were trying to showcase Vaccaro to get something in return, they did a poor job of it. He missed two tackles, had a holding penalty, and was beaten a couple other times in coverage.

CB MARSHON LATTIMORE, 89.0 OVERALL GRADE
While the defense as a whole yielded 400-plus passing yards, Lattimore was only responsible for 28 of those. He had two of the Saints four pass breakups on the day and yielded only one catch for more than five yards.

They need to trade BREES NOW!!!

He isn't going to be here when the Saints make another SB run anyways so get rid of him. Load up on picks we need to get younger just not on D but everywheres. We are a sinking ship might as well sink the ***** and start building a fresh new one. Which we should have done last year.

You know, I would normally jump and scream your crazy. However I would love to see him get another ring, before his time is up. This team is so far from even seeing the playoffs.

team grade in game one was easy. F all around with a huge injury disclaimer on both side of the ball

D on defense with a huge injury disclaimer

C offense with a medium sized injury disclaimer

Actual a step in the right direction yet a huge kool aid crash for many fans

Brees is still an A, or a high B at worst. He cant CATCH the ball for our subpar receivers, and he no longer has the option to look at a 2nd receiver, because the line cant give him enough time, and we have ZERO run game. He's still the master. Youre crazy if you think we should unload him.

Lattimore- impressive. A

Jordan- all we got in the Box. B+

Tommy Lee- A

Kamara - one bad drop on a screen/ one drop on a difficult pass, but you just get the feeling, he's about to go Barry Sanders out there at any moment. A-

Yes We Suck. You are your record- (Bill Parcells.) But we actually have a handful of bright spots. We're getting our bookends back soon, along with a sorely missed Willie Snead. And we dont have to play the Super Bowl Champion Dynasty Team of the 21st Century, on a short week any more this season. Plus my loud mouth will be at the rest of the home games, so no opponents will be able to hear their snap counts, and the Terrace will Roar.
