Some positives

While certainly few and far between, there have been some positives and right now, I choose to hold on to that. So here it goes, I'm sure I'm missing some so feel free to chime in:

Coby Fleener. Has he dropped a pass yet?
Turnovers. While we haven't caused them, at least we aren't making any
O-line play from week one to week two. Vastly improved
AJ Klein. I have loved watching him play thus far
TL Lewis. Not seen much but what I see is good

:bng:

Re: Some positives

Kamara, Lattimore, & Williams look pretty good considering they've played only 2 NFL games.
Special Teams have improved in kick coverage & kick returns & we haven't gotten a kick blocked yet.
We're relatively healthy so far.

We get a higher draft pick...

Re: Some positives

Our running game hasn't been bad. It's just been average. If we were converting 3rd downs and red zone opportunities our running game would actually be viewed as steady and productive.

The run defense between the tackles has been okay too. Gillislee just has good vision and hit small holes nicely yesterday, he looks very underrated to be honest.

LATTIMORE, 89.0 OVERALL GRADE. To put that into perspective, our defense fielded over 410 passing yards, however Latt only accounted for 28 total yards & had 2 PBU's. I'd agree, that is as close to "shut down" as you are going to get at this level.

I can go fishing on Sundays. No watching kneeling at the anthem jack asses and at the end of the day I might have some fish to eat.

I heard that the yardage given up these first 2 games breaks the franchise historical record. New areas that the defense is exploring. On the bright side, it can only go up from here--I Hope.

1. With a bye in week five, in week six a team could have a worse record than us.

2. Made two cities happy so far.

You joke, but I share a very special bond with my dad because of just this. To this day, he and I kid about how much better our deer hunting will be, because of the Saints' poor play. We spend a lot more time in the woods as a result, and I am fine with listening to them on 870 (Jim, Hokey & now Deuce).

So that is a significant positive right there!!

Lattimore is going to be great for us.

In week 1 he allowed a catch but then picked up and slammed Theilen to the ground.

I loved seeing him break on the ball and knock down the pass to cooks, the guy could be a superstar, but he needs help, especially from the D line.

I'm very disappointed with Rankins so far, thought he was going to be great.

Re: Some positives

Truthfully it wasn't actually THAT bad after the bloodbath of the first quarter. But when you're 20 points behind the whole day, it's pretty pointless. There were a couple of drives where if the defense had actually stopped them, it might have almost been a ballgame.... but not quite. By the time the Patriots took their foot off the gas and half of their major stars had gone out with injuries, or were resting, with Brady handing off to grind the clock, the teams looked to be pretty even in a lot of ways. I think if it was preseason we could have beaten them!

Ranking needs to be paired up with a double team space eater. That is his glaring weakness and always has been. Nick being off the field exposes him big time.

Re: Some positives

Brees, with a patchwork line, zero running game, zero defense, subpar receiving, and getting shellacked 2-3 times a game, still looks like a Master. At his worst, which was vs. Minn, he was average.

Im astounded by the people who say its time to move him. 26 teams WISH they had a guy as good as Brees on his worst day. The Texans fans would build a temple for Brees, if we ever traded to them.

Imagine a girl with a below average face, dumpy shape, mousy personality, but a great big pair of enormous boobs. People who say we should move Brees would also advise that girl to get a breast reduction. BREES IS ALL WE GOT, at this point. Lets dont be stupid. :dunce:

I agree 100%. I am to the point of being tired of Payton and I am ready to make a change. But I don't think Brees needs to go anywhere just because he has trade value. In case people haven't noticed, there are not any good qb's just hanging around waiting to be taken. The Texans, Jags, 49ers, Browns, Jets and Miami would give up whatever it took to get him. Lets not get rid of one of our only star players. That is crazy IMO.

Re: Some positives

Drew is still a top 5 qb when given more than a split second to throw. We were all right about Ginn. Dude cant catch if his life depended on it. KV was sat and might be traded. MIA might get traded. We are looking at a top 5 pick.

Who is MIA? I hope I like a trade, whoever it is. KV should be for sure.

At least the woman's personality made it into the criteria. Hurray for not being completely objectified! ( You asked for positives. )
